Biography

Kyle Agustines is a Fairbanks, Alaska–based artist whose work explores memory, perception, imagination, and the relationship between environment and experience. Working across painting, drawing, and digital media, he creates surreal landscapes that translate external realities and internal states into shared visual abstractions featuring biomorphic geometries, chromatic vibrancy, and movement. Agustines’ practice balances intuitive mark-making with designed structure, blending spontaneity and strategy to navigate the space between chaos and control. His work is shaped by life in the Arctic, characterized by qualities of light, seasonal change, proximity to wilderness, technological dependence, and remoteness. Agustines earned a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2024, exhibits work internationally, and maintains his studio practice at Well Street Art Company.
