Biography
Kyle Agustines (b. 1999) is a queer artist born in Japan and raised in the boreal valleys of Alaska’s Interior. His abstract work explores intuition and imagination, translating the outer world into surreal imagery and inner experiences into visceral sensation. Rooted in color, his visual language blends geometric and organic forms with movement to evoke shifting environments—built and natural, internal and external—shaped by action, reflection, and conversation. He earned his BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2024 and now works there as a graphic designer. His work has been shown across Alaska and internationally online.
